Right-click on your PC Start button and open Device Manager Double click LPT and COM ports then locate the Prolific USB to Serial Driver and right-click it so you can select Update Driver For driver software click My computer From My computer select 'Let me pick from a list of drivers available'.

- There is no com port section in the device manager. I have updated drivers, tried different connectors etc. I did the command prompt method on both machines and there simply are no com ports. The device shows up as a mass storage device under the USB section. I cant get either machine (win 10 or 8.1) to recognize it as a com port.

The Bluetooth specification is implemented in various consumer products like newer cellular phones, PlayStation 3, digital cameras, Wii, Lego Mindstorms NXT, PSP Go, headsets, modems and high definition watches among many others. This technology is especially useful when users transfer information among 2 or more devices within an area in low bandwidth settings. It is commonly utilized for transferring sound data with phones such as with a Bluetooth compliant headset or byte data with portable hand held computers for file transfers. Bluetooth protocols are capable of simplifying the setup and discovery of services among devices. Bluetooth devices such as the Itronix Bluetooth Device are capable of advertising all the services it can deliver. This translates to the easier use of services since more of the permission, network address and security configuration may be programmed than with other network setups. A PC should have a Bluetooth adapter installed so that it can communicate with the Itronix Bluetooth Device.
