Description:
This document describes how to manually start and stop the LANCAPI driver in Windows operating systems.
Requirements:
- Installed LANCAPI as of version 7.90.0010 (download the latest LANCAPI)
Procedure:
Manually starting and stopping the LANCAPI driver is only possible with the Device Manager in the Windows operating system.
1) Open your Windows operating system Device Manager, for example by clicking on Computer properties -> Hardware -> Device Manager.
2) In the View menu, select Show hidden devices option.
3) A new branch is displayed for Non-Plug and Play Drivers containing the entry LANCAPI. Open the Properties for this entry.
4) Go to the Driver tab. In the Current status area, the Start and Stop buttons allow you to change the status of the driver.
Information:
Please consider that this option triggers a 'hard' stop the LANCAPI driver. Any ongoing jobs will be terminated without comment!
